Adding a News article

News articles are a great way to communicate achievements with customers, write about your local area, and they can also improve your Google rankings.

You can easily add and schedule news articles to display on your website.

  1. Log into EstateWeb
  2. Within News, click Edit News
  3. From here, you can view, add, edit, or remove news posts. Click Create New Post
  4. Populate all the Article Details fields, as required
    1. Title - Add a heading for the article
    2. Start Date - Click the calendar icon and the clock to select the start date and time
    3. End Date - Click the calendar icon and the clock to select the end date and time
(if you don't select a date and time, the news article will display until it is deleted)
    4. Author Name - Add a name to show who wrote the news article
    5. Author Email Address - Add an email address if you want your article to display in RSS feeds
    6. Category - Assign a category for the article
    7. Preamble - Add short, snappy text to grab the readers attention
    8. Keywords - Add any possible search terms and words that a visitor might use to search
    9. Content - Add the body of your article text into the text box, and format it using the icons above. If you wish to edit in html code, you can do so, however, we would advise editing in the design view

       Note

To avoid any formatting issues, we advise that you don't copy and paste text from a Word document. Either free type the text into the text box, or, copy and paste the text into Notepad before you paste it into the text box

  5. When you've finished the article, click Save & Preview
